Where Delaford is situated   Written by Graciela (10/5/2009 10:25 p.m.)
Are you new?

In chapter 33 we have this conversation between John Dashwood and Elinor.

"Who is Colonel Brandon? Is he a man of fortune?"

"Yes; he has very good property in Dorsetshire."

Strangely, I always believed that he lived near Barton, but instead his estate is at a distance of at least 30 miles.

(We also learn that his income is probably 2000 a year).
