Robbin, and I do agree Marianne was probably over indulged by her mother. Also feel the other factors don't really help, and that Marianne tends to speak her mind exactly as it comes out, without thinking, a bit like Mary in MP.

The odd thing is that she gets along so well with Edward and that he seems to really understand her. I find this interesting.
