Johnson's 1828 definition of puppyism

Affectation is defined as: "fondness; high degree of liking; generally applied to the act of making an artificial appearance; an awkward imitatiion." I don't think you would necessarily need to be young to be considered a puppy, but it would probably enhance the perception of puppyism. |
