questions of intent   Written by Heather Leigh (10/3/2009 4:09 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Intent to do Harm, penned by Robbin
Are you new?

I was trying to distinguish between a careless/selfish mindset that would say, "I'm going to enjoy a sexual relationship with this available young girl and not think about the future consequences for her,"

and a "predatory" mindset that would say, "I'm going to look for a vulnerable girl and ruin her, and ruining her will be part of what I enjoy in the relationship." (And "ruin" could include sexual scandal, pregnancy, or a broken heart.) But the idea that he sets out to injure the girl, that that's one of his goals in seducing her.

Do you think that's too narrow a definition of "predatory"?
