I absolutely agree with you,Robbin. I think it is very possible that Miss Grey's "secret engagement" was much the same thing as everyone imagined Marianne's "secret engagement" to be.

I was also thinking about the Ellisons and Miss Grey, and Mrs. Ellison's comments about the wedding. It occurred to me that Willougby has great success charming women. Even Elinor is taken in by him, to a degree. I am thinking that perhaps Mrs. Ellison did not object to a match between Willoughby and Miss Grey, but maybe Mr. Ellison did.
