Mrs Ellison   Written by Rachel G (9/28/2009 3:01 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, So far it would seem possible, penned by Barbara
Are you new?

Maybe Mrs Ellison, having lost the war now that Sophia is of an age to choose for herself, is making the best of defeat by showing off to her friends about the sumptuousness of the wedding arrangements.

If there is any truth at all in the rumour that Sophia and her aunt can never agree, then I have only to think of Mrs Ellison as a materialistic bully like Mrs Ferrars, and Sophia instantly becomes a heroine of sorts for standing up to her. Since it is all off-stage, we are free to use our imaginations.
