Willoughby at Allenham   Written by LouAnn (9/28/2009 11:47 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Secret Engagement, penned by Robbin
Are you new?

I never noticed the 'no longer to be a secret' bit. Thank you! We know that Willoughby was at Allenham the previous year at the same time, (admiring the cottage which was empty 'this time twelvemonth') so maybe it was a convenient time for the Ellisons to urge a cooling-off period.

In the infamous letter, Willoughby says his affections have long been engaged elsewhere, but at this point, I don't trust much of what he says.
