Yes, very easy to blame Lucy   Written by LouAnn (9/27/2009 2:44 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, I assume she thought he was "innocent", penned by kathleen (elder)
Are you new?

I think it's easy for her to blame Lucy for 'drawing him in' (to paraphrase Lady Catherine.)

Since Edward is now stuck with Lucy unless Lucy breaks it off, and Elinor knows he loves her instead, it's easier for her to feel sorry for him and forgive him.
This sounds like a tale of hopeless romance that Marianne would love, but instead, it's Elinor's tale.
