Are you new?

Most people during the initial time when they're meeting someone are on their best behavior. To me, that's basically how Willoughby's acting here. I think he read most of the books they were talking about (from the quote in my previous post) and he agreed with her most of the time as well. To me this is a normal way of dealing with people when you first meet them. I've noticed this especially with the outgoing people I know. They don't think of themselves as being deceiful, just polite.
