I'd prefer Lady Middleton's ways...   Written by Reeba (9/25/2009 3:45 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Lady Middleton's none-too-subtle hints, penned by Barbara
Are you new?

over Fanny Dashwood's manipulation of her husband any day.

I think Sir John goes about his ways and Lady Middleton isn't able to change that as expertly as Fanny.

If Sir John wants the Steel sisters then so he shall.
His wife's reprimands 5 0r 6 times a day fall on his ears like music, I presume - the kind he never pays attention to ;-)

The mentioning of not going to dine at Barton Park, by Mrs Dashwood is something she has always felt awkward about.

Lady Middleton's comment regarding Gilberts OTOH is perhaps something she has been relentlessly doing and explaining all her married life till now to her husband, considering Sir John's partying habits.

I still think of her as harmless.
