That's some very clever mining! Written by Jeffrey (9/25/2009 3:32 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, It's too bad he didn't marry Charlotte, penned by Barbara

this offering of "mis-matched" matches has given me some laugh-out-loud mental images:

Could you visualize in your mind the marriage of Mr. Palmer and Lady Middleton? They would simply sink directly into the floor and descend to the center of the earth due to the extreme gravity of their moroseness!

Sir John and Charlotte? They would soon be so over-committed, partied-out, and their bloated calendar so confusing that they'd spontaneously combust over their frenetic socializing!

I, for one, would like to think Miss Austen is THAT clever and Barbara THAT perceptive to pick this out.

Somebody please stop me; this is too much fun.
