that my answer was not quite the in depth one you were looking for.

I just think that considering the finished product, if Austen began S&S as epistolary, she probably gave it up early on. Even without it being a novel of letters, it's seems imperative that we get it primarily from Elinor's point of view.

Perhaps it would have worked as Elinor's diary.

Anyway, I know there are others looking for evidence of the epistolary novel, so I'll bow out of the conversation now. : )
