I think Lucy is desperate for any respectable income Written by Elbè (9/24/2009 7:45 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, I've always been under the impression that, penned by Anselm

but would surely try to get the most she could. The living might only serve as 'insurance'. But I wouldn't put it beyond her to ask the question as a dummy to hide her looking for an opportunity to dangle Edmund in front of Elinor and finding pleasure in Elinor's pain.
