your post is! It is the second time I am reading S&S and I must admit that it never occured to me, what a snake in the grass Lucy is! At first reading I thought she was just simple-minded - but after reading your post and all the comments, I am really dumbstruck! I definitely have to reread ch.24 to get the real impact of that clever combat between the two rivals. I don“t know how to thank you all - this was the greatest revelation during that group-read!!!
