Elinor's hair   Written by Bridget D (9/21/2009 7:25 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Obtaining Hair, penned by Robbin
Are you new?

I assume it would be a maid, who cut and dressed El's hair since I dont know if the Dashwoods, living in the country, would have run to using a hairdresser... but I think it is a bit weird that Elinor should imagine Edward somehow obtained her hair, either by bribing a servant or something... without her knowing it and that she should forgive him for it.I find that even weirder .

Re the ring, I suppose Lucy might have made Edward promise to wear it always, but still he could have gotten out of that by saying that he couldn't since their betrothal was secret....I think that its best to write it off as a slightly iffy plot device..
