& maybe to get her picture drawn. Written by nan duval (9/20/2009 6:31 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Her purpose in coming to Barton was to warn Elinor, penned by Barbara

"I have one other comfort in his picture; but poor Edward has not even that. If he had but my picture, he says he should be easy."

Edward probably told Lucy that Elinor drew very well & Lucy might have been angling for Elinor to do a miniature of her for Edward.

Too Brazen? I wouldn't put it past her.
