Edward's & Lucy's correspondence   Written by kathleen (elder) (9/20/2009 10:34 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Oh! I never thought of that!, penned by Barbara
Are you new?

I wonder how Lucy sends letters to Edward? Does he have a place to receive them where there's no chance of Mrs Ferrars seeing them? Edward could possibly send letters to Lucy directly, since she might have other (female) correspondents, but I cannot believe that Edward had so many (or any!) friends with whom he kept up a correspondence.

Certainly if Mrs Ferrars ever suspected that Edward was attached to any woman, she might be nosey/controlling enough to watch for letters.
