And Willoughby doesn't hang around Barton Park all the time   Written by Barbara (9/20/2009 1:08 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Do we know if Brandon, penned by CarolTS
Are you new?

Sir John talks about him being there last Christmas to a dance, but this comment of Charlotte's in Ch. 20 made me wonder whether Willoughby actually rarely came around Barton Park before the Dashwoods were in the cottage: "Somehow or other, I never happened to be staying at Barton while he was at Allenham. Mama saw him here once before; "

If Mrs. Jennings has only seen him there once before, perhaps he and Colonel Brandon have not crossed paths there before.
