so perhaps in a scene similar to the one in CH 2, she rationalized his reasons in favour of his marrying her, as well as rationalizing why it doesn't matter that he is so young.

In short, I wouldn't put it past her to let any maidenly proprieties come in the way when a very eligible *catch* is in front of her.

Yes, I get a strong feeling that Fanny ensnared him into it. :-D
