getting a little tired of Edward

in consequence of the missive, I like Edward!, penned by Barb JA
"I never wish to offend, but I am so foolishly shy, that I often seem negligent, when I am only kept back by my natural awkwardness. I have frequently thought that I must have been intended by nature to be fond of low company, I am so little at my ease among strangers of gentility!" "Natural awkwardness" and "intended by nature to be fond of low company" are strange statements. I know people can be awkward and shy "by nature" (born that way), but they can overcome it to a degree. I don't really think of peoples' taste in friends being dictated by their "nature". I think we need a psychologist (and some more information) to explain Edward. |
