before that Marianne ignores Elinor's fears even when she states them. Thanks for pointing that out, it seems a salient point in their relationship. Quite poignant, isn't it? What is poor Elinor to do? Even when she invites confidence and intimacy, she cannot be certain to find it. No wonder she keeps her own counsel!
