Weeks & Months   Written by Robbin (9/17/2009 9:29 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Relative speed, penned by Barbara
Are you new?

Just to add a little. Marianne had six weeks with Willoughby but Elinor and Edward might have had something close to six months to get to know each other. In Ch. 1 “No sooner was his father's funeral over” than Fanny descended on Norland and Edward arrived “soon after his sister's establishment at Norland, and who had since spent the greatest part of his time there” and lastly Mrs. Dashwoods thoughts reveal they have lived at Norland for six months after her husband passed:

But Mrs. Dashwood began shortly to give over every hope of the kind, and to be convinced, from the general drift of his discourse, that his assistance extended no farther than their maintenance for six months at Norland. (Ch. 5)

Thanks! (:D)
