Interesting! Although middle siblings often have personalities that lend themselves to helping everyone get along, since he/she is in the middle. We do not see this with Marianne! You have a point with the eldest and a sense of responsibility, but sometimes the oldest has a sense of bossiness and egotism (which Elinor certainly did not pick up!)
