I see what you mean Written by BarbaraB (9/12/2009 12:26 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Margaret's "elegant" description?, penned by kathleen (elder)

I coudn't make this sentence out on first reading but today after reading your post, I reread it several times breaking it down and as soon as I understood it, the first thing that came to mind was---what is elegant about the word 'preserver'? Only thing I could think of was maybe there's a different slant on the word elegant unfamiliar to us or perhaps there was an elegance to her manner??
