(If this message oversteps the RoP or GR guidelines, please delete. I know that talk of sport of any kind or hunting is not permitted at Pemberley, and quite rightly so, but I was unsure whether this rule applies to sport in a historical context. Thanks).

I just thought I'd post this link to an interesting article from the Jane Austen Centre site. There are quite a few quotes about sport from JA novels, notably one from NA which is quite detailed.
