Truth Seers   Written by Robbin (9/12/2009 1:19 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Doubt, belief and proof, penned by Barbara
Are you new?

Great post Barbara! (:D) I like the description Marianne believes the world and people are transparent to her—maybe one reason Elinor requires proof is because she realizes they are not. I think there are a few causes for Marianne’s and Mrs. Dashwood’s lack of doubt in their (jumped to) conclusions. Of course transparent people cannot hide their emotions and motivations from such truth seers and I think they both glide through life with blinders on. There might be a bit of seeing only what they want to see or perhaps what they believe they ought to see based on how they view the world. (:D)
