I agree with this wholeheartedly! I have to admit that I have let my DH think something was his decision when it was my intent all along. Of course, in my case, it was not such a serious subject. Something like whether or not to cut down a tree or where to go for dinner makes the finessing (manipulating is not a pretty word ;)) easier to swallow.
