was quite small -- a few smallish rooms on the ground floor, maybe 2 bedrooms on the second floor, and an attic for the servants' rooms. You may imagine my surprise when I read the description of the number of rooms and the size of each of the sitting rooms! I realized very quickly that Barton Cottage was much, much larger than the farm house that my family (6 of us) lived in. :-)

Very snug little cottage, indeed!
