The latest thing   Written by Barbara (9/8/2009 2:25 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Barouches, penned by Carol J.
Are you new?

I also read in Jane Austen: The World of her Novels that there were no barouche boxes around in England when Jane Austen wrote her first draft in 1795 and that this was one of the updated revisions she made to get it ready for publication in 1811. That made me think that the Ferrars family would want their son(s) to have the latest, most fashionable type of transportation.
