No invitation required   Written by Robbin (9/8/2009 11:39 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Sir John and The Rent, penned by Caroline
Are you new?

Moral responsibility withstanding, Sir John in his zeal for entertaining wants to find young men to amuse and entertain Elinor and Marianne. He voices concern (for the second time) to them “at being unable to get any smart young men to meet them” and also there is Mrs. Jennings who is “always anxious to get a good husband for every pretty girl” per Ch. 7 and locking on to Col Brandon for Marianne in Ch. 8. Think of what kindnesses these two would attempt if they were obligated to find the Dashwood sisters husbands! (:D)
