That's Mrs John Dashwood, not Mrs Henry Dashwood Written by kathleen (elder) (9/7/2009 6:29 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Edward in a barouche, penned by Carol J.

It's Edward's sister Fanny whose ambition would have been (somewhat) satisfied to see Edward in a barouche. Our Mrs Dashwood, Elinor's mother, has no such ambitions, iirc.
