Fun loving.   Written by Reeba (9/7/2009 10:29 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Different opinions/different definitions, penned by Elizabeth K
Are you new?

I don't think that Elinor is *not* fun loving.

The point here is the *manner* of expressing this fun, and just about everything else.

Elinor is capable of enjoying as much as Marianne. Perhaps showing it by smiling and taking part, while Marianne goes into raptures, not because she is enjoying more but because she thinks that's how one should go about expressing it.

I don't see Marianne's vitality or high spirits, not yet at least.
She is busy being critical of almost everyone at present.

I don't associate the word 'vivacious' with Marianne but *very very passionate* in her belief of what constitutes - good taste, old/young age, love, manner of reading etc etc.
