] John and Fanny Dashwood are "near to being fabulously wealthy ... "

Norland produces 4000 pounds per annum (from rents, as well as investments, presumably, plus possibly from the sale of produce and/or livestock?). John also has just doubled the amount of his income from the fortune left by his mother. And there is whatever money Fanny brought to the marriage. But do we know precisely how much annual income John has?
