the childhoods of the two sets of Dashwoods Written by LouAnn (9/5/2009 3:36 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Chapter 1: We meet the Dashwoods, part 2, penned by kathleen (elder)

The girls and Mr and Mrs Dashwood moved to Norland ten years before the 'old man' died. There is no mention of John living with them, so I guess he was old enough to be at school.

I'm guessing this because the text says 'In the society of his nephew and niece, and their children,' which doesn't seem to include John.
