'Not to be unkind'... Written by Reeba (9/5/2009 12:31 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, I think the older Mr Dashwood **might** have liked Harry, penned by kathleen (elder)

didn't result favourably that's why I see it as irony.

If he thought others would do something for the girls also does not happen that way, with one dying and the other unwilling.
IMO there is a lot of irony here in every act with everything resulting in the opposite. :-)
