that the older Mr Dashwood was so taken with this child (and his "attractions"!) that he decided to leave the property to the boy instead of Henry Dashwood. Noisy 2-year olds can be annoying or cute -- in the eyes of the beholder -- and the older Mr Dashwood obviously found little Harry quite cute. :-)
