Thank you, Mandy :)   Written by Reeba (10/27/2006 12:32 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Focus: Romanticism ; Emotion & Cleveland., penned by Mandy N
Are you new?

Clearly you have put in much thought and hard work into not only describing the picturesque connections, but the way they meld with the story and Marianne's moments there at Cleveland.

The following line which you have quoted;

'In such moments of precious, invaluble misery she rejoiced in tears of agony to be at Cleveland'.

This is so typical of JA - calling misery as invaluable, rejoicing in tears of agony - I think this really gives a true picture of a person with great sensibility.

And you are right, this is the last time, hopefully, she will rejoice in such things.

Thank you Mandy. It was an interesting read, and as the final post on the picturesque for the GR, it is much appresiated.
