Blaming the colonel   Written by Barbara (10/26/2006 11:48 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, How Mrs Smith learned of it, penned by Tom P2
Are you new?

I think if he had even the slightest suspicion that Col. Brandon had, in any way, been involved in Mrs. Smith finding out about it, he would have hinted as much to Elinor. He does blame Brandon for telling Elinor (and Marianne) about the whole affair, so it does not seem as though he thinks Brandon (or anyone at Delaford) told Mrs. Smith.
