Yes, I hate Willoughby's confession. I have never been able to figure out why Elinor forgives him so readily, he does and says absolutely nothing to deserve it! If someone came to me spouting all of the nonsense that he says, I'd walk away. Pretty much the only thing that I agree with him about is the fact that it takes two to tango, and there's no evidence that he took Eliza against her will. I kept waiting for Elinor's titanium backbone to kick in, but all I got was her hoping all the best and wondering about the health of Mrs. Willoughby.

I wonder, though, if Elinor just can't believe the worst about him, as pragmatical as she is; she just can't think him that bad.
