.....Lucy would have been, by my reckoning, only about seventeen or eighteen years old. Do we really think she was that manipulative and cunning even at that age to 'entrap' Edward? Surely at least back then, she must have loved him, even though it's clear that four years later, she's only with him for her own material self-advantage, rather than any affection for him.
