some immaturity by it. EG Robert Ferrars is making a show of this selection, probably in a loud voice, to prove his superior understanding of taste and elegance, while in reality he is only making a fool of himself.

I'm not sure if this insincerity needs to be involved whenever one talks of puppyism. Just a lack of experience and reflection perhaps? Insecurity perhaps?

Hmm does that fit with the doll translation? Well, it is not securely founded, only some makebelieve action. Puppet on a string?
