She was so useful to Elinor by telling her that Edward offered to release Lucy from their engagement. I sure hope she gets the Doctor!

But I have to questions:
1. What is the huswife she so carefully hides from Mrs Dashwood?
2. Why does Lucy continue the engagement when Edward has lost all his prospects?
