I just love Mrs Jennings!   Written by Delories (10/10/2006 3:33 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Undercover Angel, penned by Robbin
Are you new?

Living, as I do, in a "matriarchal" Mediterranean society, Mrs Jennings-esque women abound! Sometimes, like Mrs J, they can be irritating, bordering on infuriating (or, if one has the temperament of a Marianne, beyond infuriating), but most of us wind up like the Colonel, ignoring their surface faults and appreciating the warm heart and sincerely good intentions beneath the chatty busy-bee surface.

Taking this to Austenuations: Mrs J is almost like the better angel (to continue Robbin's metaphor) of a Mrs Norris (imo the most SUTH-worthy woman in the JA canon...).
