Are you new?

Now that I've become aware of this subtle-body-language facet, I'm starting to see more of it, as in Robbin's citation above of when Miss Grey "brings Willoughby to heel" with a glance:

"...as if, on catching the eye of the young lady with whom he had been previously talking, he felt the necessity of instant exertion..."
