I'd never viewed the two pairs of sisters in that way before, but it makes perfect sense. I have, however, chuckled quietly over the line about avoiding a family party!

Could the sense and sensibility theory be stretched to the Steele's do you think? I would put Lucy as 'sense', although I view her as being more calculating than anything else. That would leave Anne as 'sensibility' - but surely she's just silly? Perhaps I am over-stretching the comparison!
