Love and marriage   Written by Line (10/3/2006 11:00 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Partners in life, penned by Ann2
Are you new?

Still, we are told in ch.1 that John Dashwood was (and presumably still is) "very fond of his wife". Despite the bad effect her influence has had on his character, and the negative effects on the people around them, as far as just the two of them are concerned, theirs is the most successful marriage we have seen so far, IMO. If he still loves her, his love has at least outlived the honeymoon stage. I wonder if Fanny appreciates her good fortune, or simply takes it for granted?
