Willoughby's name Written by Maisy (9/28/2006 7:18 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, The Particular Spirit of Marianne, penned by Robbin

Isn't there a theory that JA chose the name Willoughby because of a character with the same name in Fanny Burney's Evelina? I haven't read Burney's novel, but I have read that her Willoughby is a rake with less-than-honorable intentions toward the heroine.
