Drayton   Written by Barbara (9/28/2006 1:00 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Other Queen Mab's, penned by teri-mc
Are you new?

I was going to bring up the Drayton reference too, but my notes are at home.

The Fairies--Queen Mab as well as others--were known for playing tricks on mortals. Drayton's poem sounds quite a lot like A Midsummer Night's Dream, with Queen Mab having a tryst with someone else (in this case a member of King Oberon's court) and Oberon sending Puck to find her.

I don't know that JA ever read this, but I'll post some more thoughts when I have access to my notes.
