"It really paints Marianne in a bad light" Written by Maisy (9/26/2006 2:33 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, I agree, penned by Heidi M.

I agree with this, Heidi. It always bothers me when I read Marianne's putdowns of Col. Brandon. It bothers me even more, though, to know that she does so despite knowing that her sister and mother think well of him. This reflects very badly on Marianne as a person and also shows that she is too much under Willoughby's influence -- dangerous, I think.
