Which sister is taller?   Written by Maisy (9/26/2006 1:52 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Proper height: "a running joke in JA's fiction", penned by Maisy
Are you new?

Her form, though not so correct as her sister's, in having the advantage of height, was more striking.

The wording and puctuation in this sentence doesn't make it clear which sister is the taller one; it seems as though it could be interpreted either way.

However, taking into consideration the information I posted re: the "running joke" about "proper height" in JA's ficiton, I am inclined to interpret the meaning like so: Even though Elinor's form is more correct because Elinor is tall(er?), Marianne has the more striking figure.
